Alan MacQuarrie has trained thousands of people over the last twenty years. Basically his prime motive is to keep people safe.  He explains 'health and safety at work is no longer simply about operating machinery or keeping floors dry.  In the modern working world people are encountering escalating levels of abuse, both physically and verbal.  When I work with an organisation I identify the specific issues to that company.  For example a health care professional will have different concerns to a security official.   My specialism lies in matching the programme to the company or the individuals concerned.'

Having dedicated a lifetime to the Japanese martial art of Aikido, Alan has achieved the highest standards in his field:

  • Fourth degree Black Belt
  • Chairman Northern Ireland Aikido Association
  • Graded in Osaka, Japan by Tetsuru Nariyama, 'Shihan, master instructor of the Japanese Aikido Association
  • A Director of Shodokan, UK.

Alan's courses are results driven.  Please see the testimonial page for detail.  Although Alan can, and does train to a very high physical level, his unique skill is the fusion of deep psychological training to heighten people's awareness to stay safe, combined with the highest standard of self defence techniques.
